Hobbies

We have a lot of interests and activities that we pursue during our leisurely moments.  As you may have already seen on a previous page, I enjoy bird watching and I am still trying to persuade my Husband that it's fun and exciting.  We also enjoy hiking in the North Georgia Mountains and antiquing.  I love to bake and enjoy cooking.  We just love preparing for big family (friends included) gatherings.  They are so much fun!

My Husband, Chris, has a weakness for tools.  He just never has enough.  Good thing we don't have one of those 24 hour Home Depots or Lowe's nearby.  He also enjoys computer games, woodworking, and restoring antique cars. 

I also enjoy gardening, painting and reading.  However, my favorite past time is spending time with my daughter.  She is the joy of my life!

Over the last few years, I have discovered that am a not only an ornithologist but a herpetologist at heart (If only I can get myself back to school for a Masters in Science).  I have a wonderful collection of reptiles and amphibians.  Our house is home to an African Red-Footed Tortoise, a Bearded Dragon, and at the moment eleven Dart Frogs (soon to be more).   During the summer and Fall of 2006, we had privilege of observing six frog eggs develop into tadpoles and then into froglets.  It was so cool!  We will see what this summer brings.
